Knowing ‘where next’ is easier with a clearly defined purpose, vision, and mission.  Your future success will be easier if you can articulate why you exist, what your end-state is, and how you intend to get there.

Successful organisations have a purpose they believe in – it’s how they win at what they do.  They have a clear sense of direction where continual improvement, learning and development mean everyone benefits by being better. They attract, retain, and develop great teams who share their vision, and are more productive as a result. We can help you design a purpose, vision, and mission that’s just right for you.

What’s the difference between a Purpose, a Vision, and a Mission?

Purpose – this is your ‘Why

Once ‘making money’ is discounted, purpose is the answer to the question “Why does your organisation exist?”  It is a good idea to formulate a purpose statement that encapsulates this in a few well-crafted words.   An impactful purpose statement will be dynamic and motivational and will connect with your customers and employees alike, particularly when times are tough.  We find the better ones connect with the heart as well as the head.

Vision – this is your ‘What?’

A vision statement describes the desired end-state toward which your organisation is headed.  It is the ideal world that your organisation hopes to bring about.  It should be punchy. Think of your vision as an inspirational line that you could share with your team.  It should be clear and simple and a story that anyone associated with your organisation could easily explain.

Mission – This is your ‘How?”

A mission statement articulates how you intend to translate purpose into vision, it is the step wise process to get there.  Here you will state what you plan to do, how you plan to do it, and who will benefit.

Here’s how we can help …

We work with you to elicit your purpose, vision, and mission in a way that is interactive, collaborative, potentially challenging, and ultimately satisfying.  It often surprises clients how something seemingly simple requires a level of crafting to be clear, authentic, and inspirational.  This is why our process design and delivery style are engaging and enable you to define and articulate statements that are motivational for your organisation.   Organisations get clarity on strategies to pursue and the workstreams required to differentiate them from the competition. It is also a great way to build brand loyalty.
