In our line of work we understand that we need other people to make change happen. This can be cultural change, process or procedural change, or even value creation and innovation. Whatever you are doing, other people are essential to doing it.
When we got together with Nadia Fyvie-Feldman of Dhow Consulting, and Nicky Grant of Phoenics Consultancy we were certain of an energising, generative and collaborative day. We are already contributing presenters at their incredible “Change it Up” event as part of The Next Chapter in the Cairngorms. We had the kind of instant connection that means you want to be in another person’s company, and do as much as you can with and for them.
What caught us by surprise on this day at the Horizon Business & Innovation centre was an exploration of our personal story, and the words we would choose for one another from those stories. This exercise was empowering, enabling, and illuminating. We found out not only why we were in the room – but also why it works so well when we are.
This has led to an unexpected and very welcome spin-off project, and soon to be shared collaborative collective… but more on that later!
